What is Mobility Management (also called Community Mobility)?

Mobility Management is a term used to describe a comprehensive program of mobility options that, collectively, provide efficient and effective transportation options to people of all ages and abilities.  Mobility Management does, however, place more focus on services for older adults and people with disabilities.  The most effective programs provide a wide range of travel options and modes that create, as the United We Ride program describes, A Family of Transportation Services.  Such programs can include:

• Specialized Human Service Transportation
• Volunteer Driver
• Carpool/Vanpool
• Free Fare on fixed route
• Travel Training
• Fixed-route transit (bus, train)
• Demand-response services (ADA and non-ADA paratransit)
• Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technologies

The most important thing that NMC does is listen.  We understand that each community is unique and, therefore, requires a tailored approach to developing an effective community mobility program. 

NMC's owner, Jess Segovia, has developed and managed transportation programs for over 14 years.  In that time, Jess has effectively assisted communities in their approach to identifying the needs of diverse populations, developed comprehensive mobility programs, and has ensured that such programs have considered the abilities of all individuals.
